I love shoes, but I am not one to drop big bucks on designer soles. Jeans, coats, and bags are another story. Last week I went to a seminar on branding given by Trish Adams, (Fast Company’s Most Creative People in 2009) VP of merchandising at Target. I must say I had no real expectations going into this seminar, but was blown away. Everyone knows target and everyone loves Target, but I really hadn’t realized the bold, risky, and brilliant marketing efforts they have taken. Things like pop-up stores, go International, huge design leaps, and of course their many high end designers are cause for great Buzz. Target’s Go International program alone earned them 53 million media impressions! That is tough to even comprehend. But what is the difference between good ideas that make it and good ideas that don’t? It is an incredible task to maintain your brand, your message, and your image as the climate, culture, and customer needs change. Target has found the formula on how to capitalize on brilliant marketing efforts, while keeping their branding consistent.
Here is a post about one of the latest Target Designers.

Dakota Fanning! Making a break, she looks amazing here.
Red Boots! I love.

Taylor Jacobson was my favorite part of the Rachel Zoe Project. Now that she is gone I don’t know what I will do. How about get a job with Rachel Zoe. Its not the job Tay left behind, but here is Rachel Zoe’s LinkedIn posting!
SO we all know Whitney from The City is gorgeous. Here is a post from the Beauty Blogging Junkie on how to get her look in 5 min. OK we may not end up looking like good old Whit, but a few tips can’t hurt!. Here is the post!

Here is a good post about the new Apple Tablet. There has been so much buzz about this product, and it is definitely revolutionary, however I am not all that excited about it. I like how computers and notebooks are set up currently. I am thinking the tablet might add any frustration someone has with an iPhone and add it to your computer. But that certainly doesn’t mean I am right…..it might be amazing. I think Apple has these tablets all produced finalized and ready to go, but are teetering on whether or not they are going to flop. That or they are just trying to tease everyone and really let the buzz get flowing. We shall see.
I want it ALL. Honestly how does WhoWhatWear do this. I would wear every single thing on this one!
So….great for parents, and obsessive boyfriends and girlfriends, but bad for everyone else. Why would you want someone to know where you are every minuet of the day. Don’t sign me up, thank you very much.
Ok this is cute. Had to put it up. I wish I had it in my room
Remembering my crazy days abroad. Today is one of those day when I would give anything to go Bungee Jumping!

SOLID GOLD! Oh my gosh. Friday night, First Ave. Amazing. Look Book opened for them, and I am dying to get some of their music on my itunes. Solid Gold really shut it down. I had never been to an “electronic: genera show before, so I didn’t really know what to expect. They blew me away. Those guys really know how to rock, and got people dancing all night! Armored cars was my favorite song, but the set was filled with great stuff. Including a cover of Danger Zone, with clips from top gun rolling in the background! Everyone should check out Solid Gold if you get the chance. These are some crappy pics I took on my phone but, hey
I was in desperate need of some Coffee this morning (waking up at 5 for spin usually kicks you in the ass around 10am) and ventured over to the one and only Mall of America for a Starbucks fix (still missing Peets!) Walking around the Mall to get the caffeine pumping and settle a bit of my ADD is a usual routine for me, just a little 15 min break in the day. Today I was particularly sad as window shopping was my highlight. My wardrobe has been seriously lacking lately, and I have no room in the budget for a spree. So I have to live through the windows (aka at the mall, and the window that is my web browser)
But there is some serious cuteness going on right now.
And, additional plus, the Malls are starting to get some of that holiday traffic we all love. Which means two things…..1.) Frustrating Shopping experience 2.) phenominal people watching. Take it for what you will
Here are some interesting links.
Cow Abduction is a serious issue
Where can I get this done in the US?
Gotta Love the MALL walkers
